Aggressive Line Haul Rates (Owner Operators)
We offer great pay for our Owner Operators. You will get paid 80% of each line haul (72% if you are using a company trailer), along with 100% of all Accessorials (Tarp, Fuel, Detention, Stops/Drops)

Meet the Founder: David E. Steffens
David E. & Bonnie Steffens started Norsemen in 1979. It was originally established in Waseca, MN before moving its corporate office to Lake Mills, IA in 1987. David and Bonnie started with two trucks, won the bid on a mail contract and they grew Norsemen to the well-established family business that it is today. We unfortunately lost our leader in 2016, and since January of 2022 the companies are now owned & operated by Jay Steffens and his two sons, Jared & Jordan Steffens.
Before starting Norsemen, David was the Captain of the Sheriffs Dept. in Blue Earth County. After succeeding in that role for 11 years, he wanted to start a business to get his boys involved. He was also a pilot, and an outstanding Mayor for the city of Lake Mills for 14 years. David and Bonnie did a lot of great things for the Lake Mills community.
